The Nepali Congress (abbreviated NC, and commonly known as the Congress) is a Nepalese political party. It is Nepal's largest democratic party.

Three-time Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is the president of the Nepali Congress.


On March 7, 2016 Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected president of the Nepali Congress succeeding late premier Sushil Koirala. Sher Bahadur was elected during the 13th National General Convention. He received 1,822 votes and defeated Ram Chandra Paudel, the acting president of the party, who received 1,296 votes.
