Digvijay Singh is an Indian Politician of the Indian National Congress Party. He is currently the AICC General Secretary and in-charge for Congress in Andhra Pradesh.

Professional Biography

Digvijay Singh has served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for two five-year terms. He first became the Chief Minister on December 7, 1993 and continued in that position till November 2003.

In December 2010, Digvijay Singh has slammed Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party for running the most corrupt Government in Uttar Pradesh.


26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks

In December 2010, Digvijay Singh revealed that Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare, who was gunned down by militants in the 26/11 attack, called him just hours before attack and said that his life was under threat. His controversial remarks didn’t go well with the AICC which distanced itself from his comments. The BJP and Shiv Sena have criticized his remarks and questioned him why he had remained silent on the issue for so long.
