Central Bureau of Investigation

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is a premier national-level investigation agency into crimes, frauds and other similar activities of national interest. In a sense, CBI is the same for what FBI is to USA.

Senior IPS officer Ranjit Sinha is appointed as the next director of CBI. He was appointed on November 22, 2012 for a two-year term.
