New Web-Site Adds Social Aspect to Reality TV

TVvoting.com has launched a new site that allows groups of friends to gather online and compete against each other to guess which reality TV contestant will be eliminated each week. According to TVvoting.com's owner Jeff Bonnes, "it is like Fantasy Football, but for reality TV. It adds an entertaining and social dimension to the reality shows." The site is ready for the launch of American Idol this week.

Melbourne, Australia (PRWeb) January 16, 2007 -- TVvoting.com is designed to provide a quick and easy way for friends to create and manage reality TV voting competitions online. Friends have a private group page where they place votes to guess who will go from their favorite show each week. The page also has space for friends to post comments and share opinions.

http://www.TVvoting.com automates everything including reminder emails to members, calculating scores, updating standings and sending out results emails. TVvoting.com is like Fantasy Sports sites in that it takes away the time-consuming and tiresome chore of sorting results and administering the competition.

"We have launched the site for American Idol starting January 16th, knowing how popular it is with an average of 30.6 million viewers tuning in each week last season," said Mr Bonnes.

"We will add other high rating reality shows to TVvoting.com as they air, including Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother and The Biggest Loser in the USA, Britain and Australia."

TVvoting.com is the brainchild of Jeff Bonnes, an IT specialist in internet-solutions. Mr Bonnes, originally from Minneapolis, MN now resides in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Bonnes started TVvoting.com because his wife was involved in a similar email-based competition for Australian Idol. She enjoyed competing with friends, and found that the game brought out the comedian and critic in everyone.

"With the growth of social networking sites and the continued strength of reality TV shows we felt there was a need for TVvoting.com where friends can have fun with reality TV," said Mr Bonnes.

TVvoting.com goes live January 16th, 2007 ready for American Idol.
