Lucknow, Aug 23 : People in Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh are reeling under the fury of floods caused by the monsoon downpour.
Relentless rain has submerged almost all the low-lying areas of Lucknow.
The Gomti river, which bifurcates the city, is on a spate and water and has crossed the danger mark.
The residents of the area say that they have not witnessed such a huge amount of rainfall before. They are complaining that the authorities are not paying adequate attention to their plight.
Many parts of the state are facing the fury of floods and most of the rivers in the region are flowing above the danger mark.
